This year's Giving Tuesday was the most successful one yet as North Star of Chester County exceeded it's goal of raising $4,000 for its homelessness prevention and self-sufficiency program. Reaching this goal would not have been possible without the generous support of WTSO.com, which provided an initial donation of $2,000 to kick off the campaign.
In addition to their donation, WTSO provided customers to their online wine store the option to add a donation to North Star of Chester County during checkout. We are thrilled to report that WTSO customers provided an additional $1,225 through the shop-to-donate campaign! As a result, WTSO upped their pledge an additional $775 to help us reach our goal.
In the end, North Star supporters raised $4,125 to serve hardworking single parents in
Chester County. In a typical year, we invest approximately $4,000 per family, providing them with financial assistance to keep them stably-housed, as well as case management services to keep parents on the path to self-sufficiency. Thanks to this year's Giving Tuesday, and the generous support of WTSO, their customers, and North Star supporters, we can provide these services for a family in need for an entire year.
